Besides delicious prepared meals and the live music, the weekend will also include food preservation workshops by Edible Austin. Sourdough bread making, canning and preserving, kimchi and citrus preservation are just some of the workshops guests will enjoy.
A portion of the proceeds from the two-day event will go to Sustainable Food Center, an organization that helps strengthen the local food system and improves the access to nutritious food in the community. The Sustainable Food Center hosts a variety of events around town. From weekly Farmers’ Markets to cooking classes, one of the many things it does is it empowers and educates the community to grow their own produce.
This weekend also includes a Farm-to-Table dinner prepared by Executive Chef Benjamin Baker, and a Sunday brunch. La Strada will provide the live music on Saturday evening.
Travaasa is Texas most active destination resort and spas. The resort embraces the nature around it, from the ancient live oaks that surround it to the hills of the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve.
