If you ‘re someone who can’t get enough of the Christmas season, start early this year and get your groove on at the Holiday Swing! Presented by the Charleston Jazz Orchestra, this night will surely transport you to a time long ago where horse-drawn sleighs jetted over icy furrows as snowflakes sparkled down. The CJO, comprised of 20 talented and well-traveled musicians, has been performing since 2008, and its sound is extensive, comprising swing, blues, and pop tunes, just to name a few. The Orchestra is produced and managed by the non-profit group Jazz Artists of Charleston, which invests great interest in the continuance of jazz, and takes efforts to educate and spread awareness of this musical style which originated around 100 years ago in South Carolina. So this week, get ready for a night of toe-tapping entertainment and head out for the holiday pizzazz hosted by the Charleston Jazz Orchestra!
