In celebration of the Atlanta Youth Tennis and Education Foundation‘s (AYTEF) 10th anniversary, the nonprofit will be hosting the Serving Winners Gala and Pro-Am Tournament on November 8 and November 9. Taking place at the new, multimillion dollar facility, Life Time Athletic at Peachtree Corners, the third annual Serving Winners Gala, now expanded to include a Pro-Am tournament featuring a mix of tennis pros, amateurs and celebs, will be hosted by WSB-TV Channel 2 anchor John Bachman. The Boys & Girls Club of Atlanta and Paula Sumple of Special Pops Tennis will also be honored at the event due to their work with AYTEF.

The gala will feature a silent auction and guest appearances by Former Atlanta Brave, Brian Jordan, and The Weather Channel host Paul Goodloe. As a part of the pro-am festivities, there will also be a kid’s clinic, showcasing many of the much-needed contributions AYTEF brings to youth in the community. Other celebrity guests will include U.S. Paralympic athlete Karin Korb, MaryLynn Ryan of CNN, ATP Tour player Bobby Reynolds, and DJ Yvonne Monet.

“After 10 years, it is exciting to see the community and our supporters come together to raise funds for such a worthy foundation,” says AYTEF Director of Fundraising, Kristina Felton. “Our guests can expect a wonderful weekend of celebrating and tennis at our host facility, Life Time Athletic at Peachtree Corners.”
AYTEF was founded 10 years ago and was a continuation of the Greater Atlanta Inner City Games, which was established in order to bring nontraditional sports to urban youth. Beyond tennis, the after school programs include homework assistance, computer labs, counseling, and mentoring. The nonprofit also focuses on educating youth on how to make healthy lifestyle choices in diet, saying no to drugs and alcohol, and saying no to promiscuous behavior that could lead to teen pregnancy.
