Tori McPherson is a business professional who was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. She received her marketing degree from Harding University in Arkansas, and is as passionate about her hometown as she is about exploring new cities. She is always in search of the world’s best iced coffee, and believes that sarcasm is the best form of communication. In her spare time she likes eating copious amounts of Mexican food, being a terrible dancer, and singing songs outside her range to her goldendoodle Kizzy. She currently volunteers weekly in the Emergency Department at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, and spent a month volunteering in an orphanage in the Dominican Republic during college. She is a firm believer that the true measure of a person is how nice they are to someone who cannot benefit them in any way. She travels across the United States monthly working as a client development manager for a local healthcare company. She has visited New Zealand, Iceland, and much of Europe, and intends to travel the rest of the world before settling down. She is always up to try something new - whether it is a craft cocktail, a good book, or a new hiking trail. She is proud to call Nashville home, and vows to become a successful philanthropic businesswoman without ever having worn a matching pantsuit.

Bootstraps Foundation.  Set in a ballroom overlooking the twinkling lights of downtown Nashville, the latest fall looks strutted down a runway amidst champagne and hors d’oeuvres. There was a large variety of silent auction items to be had as well, from signed cowboy boots and guitars to wine and cookbooks. The fun did not end after the collection was displayed, with an after party complete with a DJ lasting until midnight.

The event was hosted by Tennessee Titans’ wide receiver Damian Williams and country singer Danielle Peck. Fall looks were presented by Nashville’s luxury retailer Jamie, including looks from Oscar de la Renta, Stella McCartney, and many other designers. There was a definite theme of leather, fur, and muted neutral tones of black, cream, gray, and gold.

The Bootstraps Foundation champions the educational needs of Middle Tennessee students who have demonstrated the will and effort to succeed in the face of adversity. Passion for Fashion was no exception in supporting this cause, and hundreds gathered with the intent to provide money for scholarships bestowed by the foundation. Bootstraps chairman Joe White stated “Nothing is more important than helping to improve the community, through the education of exceptional local youth. I’m thankful that we can use the Passion For Fashion event to bring awareness and much-needed funds to The Bootstraps Foundation so we can continue our critical work.”
