Recap: Miami Fashion Scene 2013 To Benefit Starlight Children’s Foundation

It appeared as if everyone in the fashion world and socialites were at Miami Fashion Scene 2013.  Filled with the excitement of new collections and the spirit of charity and giving to the Starlight Children’s Foundation.  The evening had all of the great pieces of a magical night, exotic cars, red carpet, fashion, boutiques, cocktails, fashion, glamour and of course that Miami flair.  The red carpet saw many Miami Socialites, recording artists, business owners and the reality show Hot Listings Miami stars.

Opening up the evening once inside the ultra glam LMNT Art space were greeted by boutiques set up, showcasing local restaurants,  Miami Club Rum, cocktails, delicious treats from Chef Adrianne Calvo , and clothing boutiques. One of the booths that touched my heart was Headbands of Hope, a company that makes headbands to sell and for each of these adorable headbands purchased, one is given to a girl with cancer and $1 is donated to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation to fund childhood cancer research.

Miss Jei, whose sound is influenced by South Beach and the underground house music scene in Miami and Michael M, who is famous for his “electro” sound, delighted the crowd with a musical performance before the runway show.

The runway fashion show was stunning, showcasing couture designs by Fabrizio DeCastro and Isabel Riera.  The  designers showcased both women’s fashions and strapping men down the runway. Motives Cosmetic Team created two distinct makeup looks for the runway, for the Fabrizio DeCastro collection; they went with dramtic dark eyese winges and smoked with a touch of dark gold detailing.  For the Isabel Riera collection the Motives team added more of a touch of color, using light blue and orange, stunning and brighter.
