On Friday evening, The Foundation at East Jefferson General Hospital will host its seventh annual Up on the Roof Beer Tasting. Dozens of celebrated local, national, and international beers will be available for sampling. In addition, guests will enjoy culinary presentations by some of New Orleans’ favorite restaurants (including Drago’s, Zea Rotisserie & Grill, and Nacho Mama’s), as well as live entertainment.

For its second weekend, the annual celebration of German culture will be held at the Deutsches Haus. In addition to live music, food, and games, attendees can also participate in Saturday’s 5K walk/run. For the first of two weekends, Boo at the Zoo will take place at New Orleans’ Audubon Zoo. Fun for the entire family, the event will include trick-or-treating, train rides, haunted houses, and carnival games. Featuring delicious food and live music, the eighth annual Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival will be presented by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation. Planned performances include, but are not limited to: Cedric Burnside, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Shemekia Copeland, and Sonny Landreth. In addition, before or after the planned festivities, attendees can enjoy the numerous attractions within the surrounding CBD and St. Charles Avenue neighborhood.
