Dr. George Bitar is a board certified Plastic Surgeon with subspecialty fellowship training in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.  Dr. Bitar graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine and completed his General Surgery residency training at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. His Plastic Surgery residency was completed at the University of Virginia where he served as Chief Resident and received the Chairman’s Research Award for work with lasers. He completed fellowship training in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at the Charlotte Plastic Surgery Center in North Carolina. He then completed an International Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship training with Dr. Ellenbogen in Beverly Hills, Dr. Pitanguy in Rio de Janeiro, Dr. Mendelson in Melbourne, Dr. Widgerow in Johannesburg, Dr. Giampapa in New Jersey, and Dr. Marchac in Paris. Dr. Bitar serves as Assistant Clinical Professor at George Washington University School of Medicine.

Dr. Bitar has published many book chapters, and over a dozen articles in peer-reviewed medical journals about the latest plastic surgery techniques. He has been an invited speaker at several national and international conferences, and is currently a Clinical Investigator and Regional Trainer for Sciton.

He volunteers on the medical school admissions committee at George Washington University.

His professional affiliations include membership in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, The American College of Surgeons, The National Capitol Plastic Surgery Society, and the Northern Virginia Medical Society.
