We all love a good slumber party! Remember what it was like to pack your favorite set of pajamas and sleeping bag for a sleepover with your dearest friends? The dancing, laughing and lack of sleep were many components of the perfect night as a kid. Well just because you may be a little older, doesn’t mean you can’t have some fun during a night-in with your pals. We have come up with ideas for a fabulous slumber party that will make the night just as fun as they were back in the day:
Pancakes and Pajamas
This adorable invitation has inspired us with the idea of a pancakes and pajama party! It’s up to you if you want to have a late-night breakfast or early morning treat, but either way, everyone will love this inventive idea! Provide all types of toppings for everyone to indulge in such as blueberries, strawberries, chocolate chips and bananas, how delicious!
If you love the idea of bringing breakfast to this soiree, then add some waffles to the mix! Bring out your waffle maker and create a gorgeous waffle bar like this example. You can always have both waffles and pancakes with as many toppings you can imagine.
Outdoor Movie Space
One common activity that occurs at sleepovers is movie watching. Now you can create your own personal theater outside! All you need is lots of blankets and pillows and a giant white sheet to hang as a projector displays your film of choice. Provide drinks and candy to make your friends feel as if they are in an actual movie theater. Of course, it wouldn’t be a movie night without a movie, so pick a fan favorite and enjoy!
We All Scream for Ice Cream!
Nothing makes a night-in more perfect than with some delicious ice cream. We love this ice cream bar, and you can bring this to your own party! Label flavors and toppings with chalkboard for a beautiful look and allow your friends to serve themselves. You can also get creative and give away mason jars to fill their ice cream in. Everyone can take them home with them as a keepsake of this fun night together.
Some of our fondest memories as a child are from sleepovers with our best friends. Just because you may be older and somewhat wiser, doesn’t mean you can’t embrace your inner-kid and have fun like old times. Enjoy your modern pajama party and continue making lasting moments!
