The Walk to End Lupus Now events are conducted worldwide to raise money for lupus research, gather support for those who suffer from this harsh disease, and to raise awareness. The Lupus Foundation of America national research program: Bringing Down The Barriers was started in 1977. It was created in hopes of not only bringing awareness, but also in hopes of helping those affected by lupus.
Lupus is a chronic automotive disease that can damage any part of the body. About 90 percent of those living with lupus are women. On October 28th, I, along with others in Los Angeles will be walking to end lupus. This isn’t just a walk, it’s also a chance to gain information about the disease that may be affecting your loved ones. However, walking isn’t the only way to support this great cause, you can learn more about ways to donate by clicking here.
