This week’s bouquet was actually designed and created for a fall wedding of two wedding photographers. The look and color combination of this mix captures the rich, warm tones of autumn perfectly.
“This bouquet is an explosion of fall hues! It includes sunflowers with dark centers (yes some of green centers), orange gerberas, circus (bi-color with yellow or red/orange edge) roses, burgundy and rust hypericum berries and golden yellow button mums. The stems are simply wrapped with moss green chiffon. The bride and groom got married at a local inn. They’re a sweet couple and are also amazing wedding photographers! When I met the bride, I knew we’d become friends. Years later we’re still in touch and give each other big hugs whenever we see each other. It always amazes me how often flowers tell you what the personality of the bride is. Her cheerful, charming and warm personality is definitely reflected in the colors and flowers she selected,” explained floral designer Shelley Campbell.
What a beautiful bouquet! I must admit I am totally OBSESSED with sunflowers, so this warm and sunny bouquet is definitely on my list of favorites! If you truly love a certain flower, don’t be afraid to make it the signature bloom for your big event. Sunflowers look amazing in centerpieces and arrangements as well!
This bridal bouquet was created by Shelley Campbell of Shelley’s Floral Enterprise in Marshall, Va.
