Bridal Trend: Boudoir Photography

A unique photography trend has surfaced in the past couple of years and has increasingly gained popularity.  Bridal Boudoir Photography is the art of photographing a bride-to-be in her bridal lingerie.  This session is designed to be a fun and sexy shoot to capture the brides true essence leading up to her wedding day. Bridal Boudoir photographs are usually either taken in a studio or in a luxurious hotel and the pictures are usually compiled into a special book as a gift to the groom.

What to wear, you ask? This is a question photographers receive all the time from clients. The number one rule is to wear what you are comfortable in; there is nothing more sexy than confidence. Other recommendations include the staple white and black lingerie and then your favorite pop of color is always a fun touch. Other elements to incorporate are shots of the engagement ring (get it polished, ladies!) and your pretty pedicured toes in high heels for some added height and curves.

If you are nervous leading up to your photo shoot, send a quick email letting your photographer know; she may suggest bringing a friend along or slipping a little champagne on the set to ease your nerves. But remember, your photographer is a professional and these private photos are for the man you love. So slip into your bridal silk and lace and vow to wow!
