Get ready to party for a great cause. Macy’s is fusing fashion and charity for their thirty-first Glamorama: Fashion In a NewLight event on September 12, 2013 at the gorgeous Orpheum Theatre. This great event will be filled with fashion from designers such as Calvin Klein, Rachel Roy and many more. There will also be great musical performances, but most of all you’ll be supporting a worthy cause.
AIDS has taken the lives of over 30 million people since it started. Although we have come a long way in research and knowledge of the disease, the numbers of those infected isn’t getting any smaller. However, with the right treatment, more people are living long, and happy lives with the disease. This is because of fundraisers like Glamorama held by Macy’s that continue to do the work in raising money so that treatments are available for those affected by it.
Not only will you get a chance to party with a few of your favorite celebrities, you will also get to look at some great fashion, while being entertained by great performers. The money raised will benefit AIDS Project Los Angeles, an organization that has been around for thirty years.
The celebration doesn’t stop after the fashion show. There will also be an after party where you can mingle with friends, and even make a few new friends while supporting the cause.
