The nationwide initiative Pints for Prostates will come to New Orleans on Thursday, September 12, 2013. Hosted by Touro Infirmary and Crescent City Physicians, the event will take place from 5:30 – 8 p.m. at NOLA Brewing. With many attendee perks, the purpose of the evening will be to raise awareness of both prostate cancer risks and screening options.
Each entry will include a pint glass, two pints of beer from NOLA Brewing and a ticket for two tacos from Taco Loceaux. In addition, attendees will enjoy live music performances, as well as the chance to win a Pints for Prostates European Beer Trip.
The founder of Pints for Prostates, beer writer and cancer survivor Rick Lyke, strives to utilize the “universal language of beer to reach men with an important health message.” Since 2008, the organization has spread awareness of the “importance of regular health screenings and early detection” through the organization of informative, beer-centric networking events, often partnering with local hospitals and medical providers.
Founded in 1852, Touro Infirmary is celebrating its 160th year of service to the New Orleans community. Its subsidiary, Crescent City Physicians, focuses on delivering comprehensive medical care in the most convenient, yet quality and comfortable, environment possible.

For and with the men in your life, enjoy a fun, beer-filled evening in New Orleans. See you there!
