Bridal Shower Inspiration: Shabby-Chic Pink And Green Bridal Shower

As a wedding and entertaining fanatic, I know a fabulous bridal shower when I see one! This amazing pink and green hued “shabby chic” shower is one of the loveliest I have found.

The color scheme was inspired by bride Anna’s love of all things pink! The bride’s sister (and maid of honor) and mother masterminded the overall “shabby chic” style. The decorations included mason jars filled with flowers, specifically Hydrangea, which are a favorite of the bride’s. Small hints of pale pink and green were also added to the floral arrangements.

Fabric in shades of pink and green (some solids, some floral patterns) was layered beneath the arrangements and was also draped elegantly beneath the cake and food displays.

The decor also featured over-sized pink and white hand made paper balls. These were created with full layers of paper to replicate the look of flower petals.

The cake was a two-tiered white cake with pink and green accents designed to look like pretty Gerber daisies. The bride’s aunt created chocolate cake pops as an additional sweet treat for guests to enjoy. The cake pops were iced in  pink and green, and each pop was accented with a different design using pink sugar or white chocolate. To add to the bridal shower’s “sweetness,” the bride’s sister also brought cupcakes from the bride’s favorite bakery. Yum!

The light luncheon included fruit with the bride’s  family’s homemade fruit dip, a cheese platter, crudites and hummus, the bride’s favorite crab dip, and chicken salad on croissants. For beverages, guests enjoyed sweet tea and (of course) pink lemonade. In true “shabby-chic” style, the cool drinks were sipped from mason jars.

The bride’s sister/maid of honor made a fragrant  homemade lavender body scrub, which was placed in small mason jars and given to guests as a fabulous favor.

Clearly, the personal touches are what made this beautiful bridal shower memorable! What a wonderfully stylish event! Love it!
