The stars in Atlanta were aligned on Monday, August 26, and they all happened to be at the 21st annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares Atlanta – one of the country’s largest charity events benefiting the Atlanta AIDS Fund (AAF) and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
The event, hosted by arbiter of style Jeffrey Kalinsky, takes place each year in both Atlanta and New York and has raised over $11 million since its inception. On Monday night, 800 of Atlanta’s most stylish people walked the red carpet and enjoyed a cocktail reception, fashion show, silent and live auctions, and an after-party at the American Cancer Society in Downtown Atlanta.
Guests bid on silent auction items including four VIP Passes to see Live! With Kelly & Michael in New York City, a Roger Vivier Bauletto Metro bag, an Erdem Brynn dress, Gucci sunglasses, and more.
An energetic live auction featured a Vogue Fantasy Trip to New York, an Azamara Cruise, the ultimate Atlanta experience with CNN’s Brooke Baldwin, and tickets to Jason Wu‘s Fall Runway Show during New York Fashion Week.
The highlight of the evening, no doubt, was the glamorous runway show, where models showcased 60 Fall and Winter looks by Dior, Proenza Schouler, Lanvin, Valentino, Erdem, Christopher Kane, Emilio Pucci, Saint Laurent, Nina Ricci, Narciso Rodriguez, Simone Rochas, Junya Watanabe, Dries Van Noten, Mary Katrantzou, Oscar de la Renta, Givenchy, and Simone Rocha.
Notable guests included Jeffrey Kalinsky, 2013 Event Chairs Lila Hertz, Jeffrey McQuithy, Louise Sams, and Ken Britt, designer Michael Knight, Brooke Baldwin of CNN, Cynthia Bailey and Dwight Eubanks of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, philanthropist and author Cathleen Smith Bresciani, along with a host of local media, TV, and social personalities.
