Fall fashion preview was the phrase of the evening last Wednesday night at Neiman Marcus Topanga. The event which was sponsored by O’Gara Coach Westlake, Wine Media Connect and Westlake Magazine, featured a fabulous collection of luxury cars and exclusive wines to celebrate the fall trends 2013 collection at Neiman Marcus. Luxury-loving guests mingled throughout the store during the private event while enjoying the gorgeous collection of paintings on display by world-renowned artist Hessam Abrishami. There was also private shopping, Rolls-Royce and Bentley exhibits, a cigar lounge, hors d’oeuvres and wine tasting. The exquisite–not to mention exclusive–wines being poured were chosen by Wine Media Connect and included palate-pleasing selections from Daviana, Jordan Winery, Stark Winery and Moraga Estate Vineyards.
The fall trends fashion show featured a stunning parade of six exciting signature looks from designers Christian Dior, Brian Atwood, Gucci, Dolce and Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli and others. Among the six fashion forward looks were Rocker Chic, a ladylike mix of leather and studs, Violet Femmes, fall pieces in every shade of violet imaginable, Boys Town, a super-chic menswear-inspired look, Lace Noir, every bombshell’s go-to look, Red, The New New Neutral, my personal favorite, and one that was enough to make any self-respecting fashion lover say “grrrrrrrr,” Animal Magnetism.
The evening also featured drawings with gifts that six lucky guests took home among them a travel experience from the Beverly Hills Peninsula Hotel, jewelry from the Marina B collection, a $1000 gift card from Z Gallerie, a Creed fragrance package and a $1000 Dior Beauty package. Of course, no exclusive event would be complete without a little swag. Attendees scored with everything from candles to crystal, including a copy of Expressions of Love: The Paintings of Hessam, a Retrospective, fragrant candles by Mystique, crystal love knot sculptures from Z Gallerie and lots more.
Delicious wines, amazing giveaways, gorgeous clothes and luxury cars: what wasn’t to love?
