Lesley Haenny is the Seattle Editor for Miss A. She is an Air Force wife now living in the Seattle area. Prior to living in Seattle, Lesley spent 7 years in Washington, DC, working as a Congressional liaison. She grew up in a small, mountain town in Southern California, sandwiched between an older sister and a younger brother. Her two hard working parents taught her to always go for the clearance rack, bring your lunch everyday, work hard for what you have, and always take the opportunity to travel and play outside. Lesley has been actively involved in various charities such as the Animal Resource Foundation, Komen For the Cure, Prevent Cancer Foundation, American Diabetes Association and the Race for Hope (benefitting the National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure).

2nd Annual Downtown Seattle Rocks The Runway To Benefit Junior League of Seattle

On Wednesday, September 18, 2013, Seattle will again be the scene of all things fashionable at the second annual Downtown Seattle Rocks the Runway, hosted by Seattle Met and Pacific Place.

Begin the evening with decadent cocktails and mouth-watering hors d’oeuvres at the cocktail lounge as you wait for the Fashion show to begin at 7:30 p.m. This year’s show will serve as the kick-off for a city-wide, five-day shopping event at participating retail stores and restaurants from September 18-22.

Net proceeds benefit the Junior League of Seattle, celebrating its 90th year as Seattle’s premier women’s organization for promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
