Miss A Columnist

Grace Yco is the San Diego Editor for Miss A. Denying her writinglust finally caught up with her. She was forced to trade in biology for blogging and hasn’t looked back since (moments spent Hermèsmerized notwithstanding).

She grew up in Japan, considers California home, but feels like she belongs in Paris. In her bag, you will always find three books: one for reading, one for writing and one for planning. Yes she has tablets, but committing to them is another story, and so that relationship remains complicated.

You can find her scouring the web, musing over luxury elitism vs. fashion democracy, and dilly-dallying in rapturous moments of absolute silence (she is not a nun). Grace is also sensitive. And sometimes funny. She’s a professional bikini bard by day and a bookworm by night.

2013 Fashion Trend: Clear Accessories

Here it is, crystal clear and to the point—Lucite, acrylic, and PVC—yes, the translucent kind, are here to stay.  Associate them with whatever risqué dance technique you would like, but do try and take the time to see through dated notions and appreciate a trend staring you straight in the face – clear is in the clear.

Whether you’re ready to jump into some Lucite heels or sport a see-through clutch at the next party, Miss A has taken the time to pick out the very best shoes and accessories out there.  Designers have had a ball revamping this latest craze, from incorporating art deco flourishes to using dreamy ombré color.  If anything, you’ll at least enjoy our take on the fashionably transparent (and when or how to accessorize).  We did, clearly:

Jeffrey Campbell Soiree Suede Clear Heeled Sandal

Perhaps it’s the buttery suede in a taupe finish, or the fact that the acrylic heel gives off a coquettish touch of now-you-see-me-now-you-don’t.  Whatever the case, we see them and want them.  The perfect blend of trendy and neutral – wear on business casual Fridays or during the next girls’ night out!

$125, Urban Outfitters.
