Riviera 31 at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles was abuzz Wednesday night as Marina Monroe celebrated the two-year anniversary of her company Stylehaus. Located at The Grove, the members-only boutique offers a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. The showroom is staffed with a full-service styling team and is fully stocked with high fashion and cutting-edge trends.
The packed house of fashion-loving Angelinos sipped custom VeeV cocktails while listening to music by DJ Sean Patrick. Guests also had the chance to step in front of the The Bumbys, an anonymous duo of performing artists and fashion critics using nothing more than a typewriter, sharp wit and keen observation. Guests anxiously awaited to receive a “fair and honest appraisal of their appearance” from the two.
Celebrating in style, Monroe asked New Zealand fashion designer Andrea Moore to make her US runway debut with looks from her fall 2014 collection. Moore said her collection was “inspired by her daughter who adores princesses and magic.” The ready-to-wear designs were colorful and exciting, mixing bold patterns with leather and lace. It was a perfect balance of masculine structured jackets and feminine dresses.
“We loved having you all with us to celebrate our anniversary- thanks to everyone who came out to ring in another year of Stylehaus!” said Monroe.
