Both this Friday, August 9, and Friday, September 13, enjoy Fiddles ‘N’ Forks at New Orleans‘ French Market. Scheduled for 2 p.m., the events will feature cooking demonstrations by Chef Matt Murphy of The Irish House, as well as performances by ‘Gunns and Drums‘ and Beth Patterson respectively.
For generations the market, which is located in the historic French Quarter, has served as one of the city’s leading venues for both culinary and musical ventures. In addition to the Fiddles ‘N’ Forks presentation, attendees can enjoy visits to a multitude of vendor booths (clothing and jewelry to art and literature), as well as a stroll on the scenic Moon Walk.
The Irish House, located on St. Charles Avenue, offers both classic and updated takes on Irish and American cuisine. Under the leadership of Chef Matt Murphy, noted “Chopped” champion, menu favorites include bangers and mash, pot pie, fish and chips, and braised lamb shanks.
