Sandy Axelrod is a Chef and has a Grand Diplome from “le Cordon Bleu” and more than 40 years experience in the kitchen. Sandy, her husband Steve and their son Brian have been living in Wellington, Florida for more than 28 years. She was owner & Executive Chef of Affairs to Remember Catering for almost 18 years with events such as the Grand Opening of Saks Fifth Avenue at the Gardens Mall, opening parties at The Mall at Wellington Green, SunFest, opening season at International Polo and assorted private parties throughout South Florida to her credit. She is also in “Who’s Who in America” acknowledging her expertise as a caterer and party planner. Now, in addition to writing a blog about food, restaurants, travel & life experiences at Food & Fond Memories,
and writing two cookbooks, she teaches private hands-on cooking classes.

Summer is here and we virtually live in skimpy clothes. We worked so hard to get into shape for bathing suit season that we need to be able to stay on track. For lifestyle and entertaining expert Mindy Kobrin, cooking, wellness and celebrating life are daily activities. Her philosophy can be broken down to a single, luscious concept: Don’t Worry, Eat Happy. Combining her culinary expertise and international flair, Mindy aims to arm children, moms and dads with the information and inspiration to shop for nutritious, seasonal foods and have a great time doing it…together. As founder of the acclaimed cooking and entertaining website mealsonheelsbymindy.com, Mindy’s mission is twofold: “to teach parents to feed their families with style, confidence and fun, while spreading the message of good nutrition and wellness for children to carry into adulthood and pass on to the next generation.”

As stated on her website, over the past 15 years Mindy has planned hundreds of events. While serving as the Development Director of Fundraising for the Princess Grace Foundation and HSH Prince Albert of Monaco II and The Princely Family, Mindy spearheaded fundraising and corporate sponsorship for all events including two annual galas that raised over $1 million. As part of Daniel Boulud‘s culinary team at Feast & Fetes, Mindy helped orchestrate special events such as the Jazz Aspen Festival and South Beach Food & Wine Festival. With Mindy’s Meals on Heels, she combines her professional and travel experiences with her eye for style and love of cooking to make entertaining flavorful, fun and fashionable.

From the time she was a child, it was clear that Mindy was passionate about entertaining. Armed with her Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse Cookbook and her mom’s heels, Mindy spent much of her childhood hosting themed parties for friends. As an adult, she traveled extensively and began honing her palette for ethnic cuisines. This affirmed Mindy’s belief that no matter what culture or country, food and entertaining are instrumental diplomats that bring people together. With that in mind she has created delicious and healthy recipes that are tasty enough to entice anyone.
