“Halos for Hope,” a black tie fundraiser, will take place this Saturday, August 3rd, 2013 at The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA) in Philadelphia. All proceeds will go to Bebashi- Transition to Hope and the Urban Angel Foundation (UAF).
The Urban Guerilla Orchestra (UGO) will play live music throughout the event. In addition, there will be a VIP lounge, open bar, and globally inspired fare from PAFA’s exclusive caterer, Jimmy Duffy. Guests will also be able to participate in the silent auction. Some of the coveted auction prizes that are up for grabs include: Philadelphia Opera tickets, a free Marriott Hotel stay, Philadelphia Eagle’s Tickets (4 Mayor’s Box Seats), Kiehl’s (King of Prussia Mall) gift basket of products & pampering event, a free Double Tree Hotel stay, a Rent the Runway gift card, and a Scentsations product donation (Willow Grove Mall).
Whether you are interested in dancing the night away in your best attire to the eclectic Urban Guerilla Orchestra music or to win fabulous auction prizes, you will be supporting two causes that aim to improve the quality of life for Philadelphia residents.
Bebashi- Transition to Hope focuses on reducing disparities in the Philadelphia Metropolitan area by providing culturally sensitive health related information. Their services include education and outreach, counseling, and research/technical assistance to reduce and eliminate HIV/AIDS.
The Urban Angel Foundation recruits professionals to provide pro-bono services for non-government organizations that are without the adequate resources to fulfill their missions. UAF’s main goal is to empower local communities and inspire community members to achieve positive and productive lifestyles.
