Sunscreen – Don’t leave home without applying your favorite sunscreen! SPF is not only crucial for the summertime, but also for the rest of the year. Did you know you are still at risk for sun damage when you are not directly in the sun? Take careful precautions by trying this amazing sunscreen:
Peter Thomas Roth’s Uber-Dry Sunscreen SPF 30 ($26) is an oil-free formula, which absorbs quickly into the skin. With it’s UVA/UVB protection, you can be assured that your skin will be in good hands. Plus, this product is infused with Vitamins A, C and E to help fight against free radical damage.
Beauty Oils – Personally, I think beauty oils are the holy-grails of skincare products. They are intensely hydrating and can be applied to skin, hair and cuticles.
Marula’s Omega Rich Pure Marula Oil ($78) – Marula oil contains higher levels of antioxidants than just argan or grape seed oil, making it the prime pick for beauty oils. It leaves skin feeling extremely hydrated and smooth and is suitable for all skin types. Apply to ends of hair to promote luscious locks and shine.
Cleansing Bars – For most of us, summertime also means vacation time. Sometimes lugging around skincare can be risky, especially if you’re as unlucky as I am. Cleansing bars are perfect and portable and all you need to do is wet them to activate the cleansing agent.
ARCONA ‘Kiwi Cream Bar’ Facial Cleanser ($42) is my absolute new favorite. The scent is incredible and reminiscent of a tropical getaway. Plus, this cleansing is not stripping and it balances the skin. It gently cleanses, while providing a soothing hydration. Plus, it comes a chic case – perfect for travel.
Self-tanner – So, maybe you don’t like to put your skin at risk for sun damage. Self-tanners work wonders if you want to look a few shades darker without having to spend hours working on a tan.
Clarins Self Tanning Instant Gel ($35) – Hands down, Clarins makes the most amazing self-tanning products I have ever tried. This product can be applied to the face and body and in just a few hours, you’ll have a streak-free bronze, without that icky self-tanner smell. Plus, it’s a gel consistency, so it won’t feel heavy on your skin.
Body Scrubs – Paired with #3, exfoliating your body prior to self-tanning is crucial for a flawless tan.
H2O Plus Sea Marine Body Scrub – ($20) H2O+ provides excellent products for body exfoliation. This Sea Marine Body Scrub buffs off dead skin gently with the use of crushed apricot seeds. Accompany with an H2O+ body lotion to get the most attractive skin you’ve ever had this summer.
Body Lotions – It’s summer, so you’re most likely baring some skin. Maintain smooth, moisturized skin with your favorite body lotion. Here is one of my top picks for body lotions this summer:
H2O Plus Body Balm ($12) – H2O+’s body balms provides intense moisture due to its formula, which is packed full of luxurious ingredients such as shea butter. The lotion sinks into the skin quickly, offering an all-day hydration that’s sure to compliment your tan quite nicely. H2O+ has a wide variety of scents, but “Sweet Berry” is a great option for summer as it is full of natural fruit enzymes.
Cellulite Prevention Products – In a perfect world, we would all have perfect skin and no cellulite. But we live in the real world – so the next best thing is trying a product that will help reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Clarins Body Lift Cellulite Control ($68) – Thank the skin gods for Clarins, because they’ve created a product that will prevent and correct the appearance of cellulite. This patent-pending product has definitely helped visibly smooth out any unshapely bumps. This product is worth every penny!
