Designer Paola Robbo began making swim suits in her garage one by one, but the small size of her studio didn’t even compare with the size of her dreams for the future. Slowly, she increased the man power and started her own business called LE GARAGE.
Eventually she reached out to international markets with her creations. It transformed into Poko Pano and Robbo seeked out new customers in Venezuela, Portugal, Brazil and many other countries around the world. All the dedication and hard work paid off and the brand was invited to the Sao Paolo Fashion Week in Brazil.
Then, in 2008, Poko Pano made their debut at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami.
Each swim suit design celebrates the brands’ Brazilian roots by combining playful prints with soft pastels or vibrant colors. Poko Pano truly embodies South American soul, creating looks that emulate the tropical climate.
Poko Pano has been such a great success and has been featured in magazines such as Vogue, Elle, InStyle, and Marie Claire.
Many Celebrities, including Beyonce, Jessica Simpson, Kim Kardashian, and Janet Jackson, all admire and follow this incredible brand.
Ask Miss A caught up with Paola Robbo of Poko Pano to get the inside scoop from the woman who will stop at nothing to make her dreams come true and ensure that she’s always reaching for the sky.
