Be transported to a evening of glamor channeling the glory days of 1950s Havana, Cuba at the inaugural Paradise Social on Friday, July 19. The fundraiser gala will be hosted by The Paradise Fund, a Florida-based non-profit organization that educates the public about ongoing political, environmental, health, educational and social complications plaguing children around the world.
The event will be held at the recently remodeled, 18,100-square-foot waterfront estate and private residence Terra Veritatis, which will serve as the historic backdrop for the celebration. During the event, guests can dance to live performances by Cuban artists Norberto Y Marisela, sip on libations courtesy of Bacardi U.S.A, Inc., enjoy seasonal bites and puff on freshly hand-rolled cigars from Wynwood Cigar Factory.
“It was important for The Paradise Fund family to expand from Palm Beach to Miami, especially considering the City of Miami’s enthusiasm for supporting philanthropic endeavors,” says co-founder Christopher DiSchino. “This was the next logical move for us after founding the organization more than 10 years ago, and we couldn’t be more thrilled.”
The event will be hosted by The Paradise Fund co-founders Christopher DiSchino, Kent Anderson and Loy Anderson lll along with co-host Michael Capponi, chairman of Capponi Group Corp. and founder of the Haiti Empowerment Mission non-profit organization. Proceeds will benefit The Paradise Fund’s Children’s Relief Program, which helps disadvantaged children by way of providing books, homes, medicine, schools and other tools needed to create a better life.
