On Thursday, July 18, Shell will present its annual Dining Out for Life – New Orleans. Over 100 local restaurants will donate a portion of the day’s retail earning to support the NO/AIDS Task Force, which supports individuals “affected by HIV and AIDS in Southeast Louisiana.”

You can contribute not only by dining at one of the participating businesses during the event, but also by choosing to make an additional donation during your bar or restaurant visit. Those electing to make the extra contribution will be entered (along with their server) to win a special prize.

Making this year extra special, Poppy Tooker (cookbook author and radio host) and Christian Le Blanc (Emmy award-winning actor) will serve as Dining Out for Life’s Honorary Co-Chairs.

Each year, the NO/AIDS Task Force supports over 20,000 individuals through HIV prevention efforts. In addition, HIV medical care, meal delivery, housing, counseling, and a range of other important services are provided at no-to-low cost.
