On Saturday, August 24, 2013, Neumos in Seattle will host the sixth annual collaboration of Art, Music, Dance, Entertainment and Fashion (AMDEF) show.
AMDEF is an annual event that brings together the communities of Art, Music, Dance, Entertainment and Fashion for a one-night-only experience. Each year highlights a variety of artists collaborating outside of their genre to produce over six hours of non-stop, mixed media performances.
The Neumos Mezzanine level will host a variety of local vendors including Cherry Turnover, Art Willeau, Aetherial Image, The RPM Studio and A Little Risque. Eight members of Artifakt will also be painting eight models representing various organizations to fit the theme of an existing piece of art for a live exhibit. Each piece of artwork will be auctioned off, and the winning bidder will receive the company of the model for the remainder of the event. A percentage of each piece of art sold will be donated to the organization represented by each model.
A variety of local musical talent will perform throughout the evening. Musical performances will include:
• Angie and the Car Wrecks
• Billy the Fridge
• Choir producer Michael Allen and friends
• Danelle Hayes
• Disco Vinnie
• DJ Martini
• Eric Martin
• Sean Majors
Bringing back the fun cabaret-style of entertainment, burlesque performers will include Cirquesse, Doña Dei Cuori, Jesse Belle-Jones, Lady Tatas, Polly Wood, Sinner Saint Burlesque and Vortex Vixens. The men of Brief Encounters will also perform for the ladies!
The evening will include some of the hottest performing artists the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Artists will include Anubis, Betty Rage, Kitty Kitty Bang Bang, Ladie Chablis, Maureen, Morgue Anne, Noel Austins Phreaks, Starving Artists on Parade, Tony Tapatio and Wreckless Freaks.
Last but not least, local Seattle fashion designers will feature their latest designs to all in attendance. Designers will include:
• D.N.A. Fashion Designs
• Julian Stefoni and J*Ride Fashion Designs
• Like A Rockstar
• Misfit Leather
• Paper Dollz Clothing
A percentage of ticket sales will benefit Social Outreach Seattle, a non-profit empowering the Seattle LGBTQ and allied communities to work together to address and ultimately fix social justice issues in Seattle and beyond. SOS uses social media, video production, photo messaging, editorial content and more to get the message out that inequality will not be tolerated.
