The Hottest Summer Styles At Hampden Clothing In Charleston

Summertime has finally graced us with its presence and our friends at Hampden Clothing in Charleston have just what we’re looking for to celebrate the season of long days and warm nights.  Here are a few gems we found at one of our favorite shops on King Street.  You ready?  Let’s dive in.

White Stripes

Keep things easy breezy with this A.L.C. dress.  Black and white stripes in differing widths create visual movement and the high neckline means you can skip the necklace and rock out a pair of sweet earrings.  Flowing, comfortable, and effortlessly cool – A.L.C.; $463.

Rad Plaid

It’s hard to find a woman’s plaid button-down shirt that doesn’t make you look like a lumber jack or, dare I say, older-than-you-are (eek!).  This sheer design from Equipment breaks the mold and gives a sexy spin to classic plaid for a laid back summer look.    Equipment; $208

Well Red

The prim high collar and bright color make the length of the dress even more charming.  Our buddies at Rag & Bone turn out another design that make us go, “ooohh.”  They’re good like that.  Rag & Bone; $495

Walk this Way

Platforms that will make your legs look long and lean no matter what your stature.  Bohemian and retro, yet sophisticated as a classic.  The rich brown color and suede material will take you all the way to Fall.  Who doesn’t love a transitional piece?  Tila March; $445.

Crisp white knee-length shorts by Jenni Kayne are elegant and stylish.  Not too long, not too short.  They are juuuuust right.  Goldilocks would be proud.  Jenni Kayne; $295.

Bootie Scootin’ Boogie

Yellow is mood booster and these shoes are perfect year round.  Mood boost times two!  Enough height to make you feel like a girl while sparing you the “beauty is pain” mantra that we sometimes use to make it all better.  A treat for your sweet feet.  Dieppa Restrepo; $372.

 Cross Fit

Let’s be honest, it’s hot out there.  And the last thing you want to do is lug around a handbag (all that extra weight makes us parched just thinking about it).  Enter the APC’s Cross body bag.  Frees your hands up for more important things like holding hands with your sweetie or a nice beverage.  Or both.  Simultaneously.  APC; $395.
