Dena Miller is the Dallas Editor for Miss A. She has been described by Style Network as a "Queen Bee". Formerly a glam rock scene Diva, Dena is now a Socialite on the Dallas philanthropy scene, specializing in Polo events that benefit women's and children's causes.

While never forgetting her small town roots from a Midwestern farming community in rural Missouri, she’s fit right in the “Big D” since coming here in 1984. After 11 years of promoting the music scene, hobnobbing with the most popular bands from coast to coast, she switched gears after meeting her husband at the first Polo match she ever attended. Always one for excitement, Polo became her new rock n roll.
With her marriage and new found passion for polo, came Philanthropy. Miller founded the Ladies Polo Auxiliary of Texas in 2005 with the goal of promoting the Sport of Kings in north Texas via charity events for causes that are close to her heart. To date the LPA has raised over $500,000 for causes such as domestic violence, children with serious medical needs, therapeutic horsemanship, the Polo Training Foundation, children’s advocacy and food drives for north Texas food Bank. When not working on her own events she is attending Charity luncheons and balls as well as volunteering at golf tournaments and Special Olympics events. She is a member of the USPA Equine Welfare committee and on Board of Dress For Succes Dallas.

Writing has been a lifetime passion of Dena’s. Besides working on a book that proceeds will benefit domestic violence organizations, and writing for two national polo magazines, is a frequent contributor to Dallas area publications, winning Best Contributor Award from Dallas Morning News Neighborsgo, she is co-authoring a book on the phenomenon of cyber bullying by adult women, referred to as Cyber Harrassment.

Bone Daddy’s House Of Smoke Golf Challenge To Benefit Dress For Success Dallas

Tee off with Bone Daddy’s on Monday, August 5, 2013 at their second annual Bone Daddy’s Golf Challenge benefiting Dress for Success Dallas. Not your typical golf tournament, The Bone Daddy’s Golf Challenge allows teams of up to six members to participate in a day filled with golf, smokin’ hot girls, ice-cold beer and entertainment at TopGolf Allen. Teams will enjoy three hours of unlimited TopGolf, a buffet menu provided by TopGolf, photo opportunities with Daddy’s Girls from around the state, and a chance to compete for various prizes. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams and top three individuals “closest to the hole.” A raffle will be held during the event featuring a number of unique and valuable prizes. Last year, the inaugural Bone Daddy’s Golf Challenge raised more than $18,000 for Dress for Success and included 416 participants. Bone Daddy’s hopes to exceed both figures with this year’s event. 100 percent of the event proceeds benefit Dress for Success Dallas, a non-profit which aims at promoting the economic independence of women.

Bone Daddy’s is a funky BBQ joint filled with smokin’ hot women serving killer food, ice-cold beer and delivering a “Can’t Get it Anywhere Else” experience. Founder Mike Leatherwood opened Bone Daddy’s in 2000 and currently operates six locations in Arlington, Austin, Dallas, Grapevine, Plano and Webster, and sits on the Board of Dress for Success Dallas. Besides serving mind-blowing meats, Bone Daddy’s is dedicated to supporting its staff members and the surrounding community. Bone Daddy’s girls are often seen volunteering at events and supporting causes in their communities.

Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
