Hot summer days mean warm summer nights perfect for outdoor movies; the Larimer Square Summer Film Series is upon us again! Two movies will be screened on each of four different Thursday evenings throughout the summer months on the patios of different neighborhood restaurants at Larimer Square. BMW will also be present and offering test drives. While the first set of screenings has already passed, there are still three nights left to enjoy a movie in the evening summer air. Participating restaurants include Bistro Vendome, The Capital Grille, Corridor 44, Ocean Prime, Osteria Marco, Rioja, Russel’s Smokehouse, TAG Restaurant, Tamayo and Tom’s Urban 24. Reservations cost $20 per person and will get you a seat on the patio of your restaurant of choice under the twinkling lights of Larimer Square where you’ll get to take in a classic like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid or Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Restaurants will charge additional for food and beverage.
The Larimer Square Summer Film Series raises money to support both the Larimer Arts Association and the Denver Film Society. The Larimer Arts Association is a nonprofit organization with the mission of promoting arts awareness and education in Denver through interactive cultural events, especially as funding for the arts continues to diminish in our schools and communities. The Denver Film Society was founded in 1978 with the intention of promoting cinema as a civic forum as well as an art form. Reservations for the screenings can be made in advance by contacting the restaurants directly. For a list of participating restaurants and links to their contact information, click here.
