As a wedding gown geek, I admit that I get my inspiration not just from bridal fashion magazines, but also from personal experiences and interactions. This week’s pick is not actually a dress that I found. It is a dress that found me!
While getting my daily dose of social media, I came across a Facebook post by a fellow wedding lover, a local florist. Shelley, the fabulous wedding florist, was enjoying herself as a guest at a wedding and posted an amazing picture of the back of this dress. I was 0verwhelmed by the drama of this gown’s train (the bride had the gown in the edgy black/white color combination) and knew I just had to find out who designed it.
After some back and forth conversing, I eventually determined that this diva-worthy gown was Ivon, a dress designed by Sophia Tolli.
With cascading rows of ruffled misty tulle and glittering hand-beading softly spilling down to the hemline, Ivon creates a mesmerizing effect in this A-line silhouette. The Paris satin asymmetrically dropped waist bodice boasts exquisite hand-draping and glamorous hand-beading trims the sweetheart neckline. A chapel length train and functional corset back complete this chic look. Removable straps are included.
This gown comes in sizes 0 – 28.
Ivon is available in several colors and combinations, including Diamond White/Black, all Ivory, all Diamond White, all White.
