The Second Annual S.H.E. Summit Conference, designed to help women lead their most optimal personal and professional lives, took place on Friday, June 14and Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 82 Mercer Street in SoHo. It included 40 remarkable women leaders who took the stage to engage in discussion concerning innovation, entrepreneurship, wellness, personal finance and more. Afterwards, everyone gathered for cocktails, networking, massages, manicures, shopping and received amazing gift bags. Having attended both days of the conference, I left feeling incredibly inspired and motivated.

Some of many notable S.H.E. Summit speakers were BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP CCO Lubov Azria, co-founder of Physique 57 Tanya Becker, editor at Bloomberg News Carol Hymowitz, co-founder and creative director of Refinery 29 Piera Gelardi, motivation speaker and author Gabrielle Bernstein and co-founder of Sakara Life Whitney Tingle.

The event brought the experience of ClaudiaChan.com to life. Standing for “She Helps Empower,” the worldwide event also mobilizes up to 100 pop-up events organized by women-led brands. This media brand is designed to ignite women to dream big and accomplish their goals. The website shares the stories and advice of nearly 200 remarkable women, ranging from model/activist Christy Turlington Burns and philanthropist Jennifer Buffett to Fashion Designer Tory Burch and Amex OPEN President Susan Sobbott. It makes it easy to find specific advice from female role models on over 30 topics, including entrepreneurship, career transitions, motherhood and wellness. In addition, the site facilitates how to discover and engage in women-led causes, companies and events.

“Today’s women are doing and accomplishing incredible things, whether running a Fortune 500 company here in the U.S. or working to empower women in Africa to start businesses so that they can support their families,” said Chan. “S.H.E. Summit Week is a week for us to come together as women to share and celebrate all of our remarkable accomplishments, find the role models and encouragement we need to pursue our passion, and support each other along all of our journeys.”

Be sure to remember to get a ticket for next year. This event is not to be missed by any modern woman!
