The Zombie Run In New Orleans To Benefit Both National and Local Charities

The Zombie Run in New Orleans

On Sunday, June 23, scenic City Park will be transformed into a “post-apocalyptic playground” for New Orleans‘ first The Zombie Run. Starting at 7 a.m., the 5k run/escape will feature, among other obstacles, a flipped tanker truck, face mask distributing military personnel, circling helicopters, and, of course, lots of brain-craving zombies.

A portion of event proceeds will benefit both Active Heroes, which supports military members and veterans through “financial support and community reintegration,” and Rebuilding Together, a local non-profit that is dedicated to improving New Orleanians’ quality of life through “home repair and revitalization.”

All race participants will receive an event t-shirt and water bottle, as well as admittance to the Quarantine Party, which will be held immediately after the run.
