Look Good Feel Better At Massachusetts General Hospital Helps Women Fighting Cancer

untitled

Look Good Feel Better is a program that helps women undergoing treatment for cancer improve their self-esteem and self-image. With workshops around the country that focus on providing makeovers, beauty technique, make-up guides, skincare and support for patients going through chemotherapy.

The workshop is made possible by the three organizations that put together this wonderful event every month: LGFB, Personal Care Product Council and National Cosmetology Association.

I had the pleasure to speak with Kathleen Bazazi at Massachusetts General Hospital, where one of these workshops was held June 4, 2013. This was a private workshop with small sessions of 7 to 10 woman. Make up artist gave makeovers, beauty tips, skin and nail care, and wigs. A cosmetic kit donated by the Personal Care Product Council was provided during this session with different make up brand like Revlon, Chanel, Origins, Maybelline, and more along with books and materials to make it easy to use at home.
