For the seventh year, the Van Metre Polo Cup will be held at Great Meadow. On Saturday, June 15, 2013, world-renowned celebrities John Walsh from America’s Most WantedNacho Figueras, from Ralph Lauren Polo, and Outback Steakhouse founder Tim Gannon will demonstrate their polo finesse at the event. Proceeds will benefit the new Capital Caring Hospice facility being built in Stone Ridge on the Van Metre Campus, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Gates open at 11 a.m., and tickets can be purchased for VIP tables, Tailgate set ups, or General Admission. Over 800 people will gather and enjoy the dazzling “sport of kings” while sipping on cocktails and engaging in the time-honored tradition of a half-time divot stomp and memorial dove release in honor of loved ones.

Hosts, Dea and Beau Van Metre have been raising money for the new inpatient center since the beginning. The Van Metre family has a rich tradition of giving to hospice and are thrilled to add John Walsh’s NCMEC as a beneficiary. “We hope families will come out and enjoy a fun-filled day while making a difference in the lives of many,” said Dea Van Metre.
