Elle Brewer is a senior at the College of Charleston studying Communication with a concentration in Media Studies and minor in Studio Art. The Knoxville, TN native is a huge Tennessee fan and loves college football and basketball. As a member of the cross-country and track-and-field teams at the College of Charleston, Elle spends a lot of her time running. She also enjoys doing yoga, reading, volunteering in the community, and going to Dave Matthews Band concerts. She loves being outdoors and going to the farmers market and the beach on the weekends. Elle has lived in downtown Charleston for three years and enjoys the city life.

Tea Time Treasures offers selections of artwork, crafts and other novelties created by folks in the low-country and is conveniently located in the Community Center of St. Matthew’s in downtown Charleston. Some of the items for sale include photographic images on ceramic tile, vintage seed beads and hand carved silhouettes – a unique variety that captures a wide range of styles. In addition to selling many Charleston treasures, the boutique also offers delicious homemade scones and cold tea in the afternoon.

When you purchase an item from the Tea Time Treasures boutique, you will be giving back to the local community, with all proceeds going to support the Community Center of St. Matthew’s.

The Community Center of St. Matthew’s is a non-profit organization that runs on contributions to help its charitable efforts. Some of the programs that the Center supports include: the Emergency Food Pantry, which provides food to over 500 low-income families each year; Christmas Care Bags, which distributes hundreds of bags filled with needed items to home-bound seniors in Charleston; and the Cinderella Project, which supplies donated formal dresses and accessories for girls who lack resources to buy prom wear.
