Sunday, June 9 is the Festival for Water. The festival is to benefit Water for People and it is free and open to the public. There will be live music, booths, a prize drawing and all donations go toward Water for People.
Water for People is an international organization that helps to bring safe drinking water to people around the world. Water is clearly a basic need and yet so many people go without consistent access to clean water. This organization’s mission is to correct this issue and reconstruct how water is distributed and accessed by those that do not have it readily available. They have programs such as Everyone Forever in Peru where Water for People is working to rebuild the existing water infrastructure.
Water for People’s international headquarters are in based in Colorado yet this organization works and has influence in Asia, Africa, South America and Central America. You can learn about their programs on their website. Donations are always welcome.
The festival will feature concerts by the Motet, Broken Tongues and Bonerama. There will be food, food trucks and a drawing for a trip for two. Sign up at the Water for People tent to register for the prize drawing. This event is open to families and it is free.
