Miss A Columnist

Kelly Fay is the Nashville Editor for Miss A. She is a firm believer that life wouldn’t be as enjoyable without a steaming fresh cup of coffee early in the morning, sipped from a beautifully detailed-painted mug. She values the small but beautiful things in life. She adores travel, even if it is to the local coffee shop; She lives for laughter with a friend, even if it is at my expense; and she loves a challenge, even if she doesn't come out a winner. She grew up and lived in beautiful sunny California where her love for the outdoors was sparked at an early age. Following her desire to be surrounded by beauty, she relocated to Humboldt County to attend Humboldt State University on a basketball scholarship. She received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Humboldt State in Kinesiology with an emphasis in teaching/coaching. Led by her inner-gypsy, upon graduation she traveled and lived in many different places. She called the Alaskan darkness home during the winter of ‘08, experienced” tea time” and” the tube” while living in London, and resided in the sandy dunes of Newport Beach, California for nearly two years. She moved to Nashville to experience the simplicity of the South while still engaging in city life. She spends her weekdays teaching preschool and personal training while she spends her weekends being active, exploring new places and eating good foods. She is an adventurous and spontaneous girl who enjoys a good time but also wants to make a difference in this crazy world!

The Bridge Building

I hope you are ready, because the annual Brick and Mortar Bash is quickly approaching! This year bash-goers will occupy the rooftop of The Bridge Building overlooking the Cumberland River. As if a waterfront view wasn’t enough of an enticement for Nashville locals, cold beverages, live music and good eats will also be provided.

All proceeds will benefit Historic Nashville Inc., a non-profit organization that serves to preserve the historic sites that give Nashville its distinctive charm. This is HNI’s sole annual fundraiser so don’t miss the opportunity to contribute to a cause that promotes the preservation of Nashville’s uniqueness. In addition to partaking in the annual party,  there are opportunities for bashers to become sponsors as well. Why not party on a rooftop overlooking the city that you are simultaneously supporting while sipping on a beverage and listening to good tunes? Count me in!

WHEN: Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
