The Second Annual FashionEASTa Spring 2013 Fashion Show was certainly the place to see and be seen this past Saturday in the heart of downtown Baltimore. Aliceanna Street was the intersection of all things fun and sassy as VIP guests and shoppers enjoyed a day full of festivities in Harbor East. As guests began to arrive on Saturday, they picked up their “FashionEASTa” swag bags at check in and had some time to peruse the local boutiques. Sassanova was featuring all things girly from the Spring 2013 Collections of Tory Burch, Kate Spade and, of course Diane Von Furstenburg. Accessories galore and all things monogrammed were aptly placed through out the store, but the cutest accessories of all were caught on two local Baltimore ladies. Shopping for shoes in adorning fascinators, does it get any better?!
The on-the-go margaritas were flowing out of the Taco Fiesta booth and the Gordon Biersch booth was serving up cold Marzen ales, as guests listened to live music from the local band Starcrush. The party was well underway by 3:30 p.m. when DJ Jon Boesche of Mix 106.5 started spinning and the emcee of the fashion show had taken the stage. The hostess for the evening was local WBALTV Meteorologist Ava Marie wearing a silver Shoshanna dress from Urban Chic. Local models took to the runway dressed in the hottest spring trends from all favorite stores in Harbor East, with special guest appearances by the 2013 Super Bowl Champion Justin Tucker and WJZ’s Sharon Gibala. There were multiple spring looks for the ladies including trendy work out garb, super chic day styles and glamorous cocktail attire. The men’s styles featured equally trendy work out gear, perfectly prepped out Preakness attire, and varied modern hipster looks.
Harbor East certainly threw an over-the-top event with the 2nd Annual FashionEASTa Fashion show, full of Baltimore celebutants, fantastic shopping, and most of all a ton of fun for all who came. It only seemed right to end the day next door at the Four Seasons Hotel with a little Post-FashionEASTa after party at Wit & Wisdom.
