Recap: Emerge Spring Cocktail Party In Denver To Benefit Sense Of Security

On a snow-free weekend, a fundraiser for Sense of Security happened in one of the most high-profile bar in Downtown Denver: Edge Bar at the Four Seasons. Adding a bit of flair to the fundraising efforts, the hosts of the night known as the Denver Sophisticates encouraged attendees to dress their best spring wear to welcome the spring.

A to-be-seen venue, Edge Bar is known to be a “hopping” place on a Friday night so it was no surprise to see a crowd of spring dresses and smart-look suits. However, on a special occasion like this, the Denver Sophisticates, who are known to throw fabulous parties, drew a considerably larger crowd.

A mingling event, every one was free to meet and greet other guests and a chance to try out Edge Bar’s food and drink creations. A donation station was set by the hotel entrance where anyone could donate from a minimum of $10 to their heart’s desire.

Plenty of people donated to the cause and for every $10 donated, attendees were treated to a vodka mixed drink courtesy of Absolut Vodka. As the night grew, a live DJ took to the middle of the space and entertained a crowd while everyone mingled, danced, laughed and bid on silent auction items such as shoes, skin care products, spa packets and more. By the end of the night a grand total of $4500 was raised with an attendance of 300 plus guests!

Sense of Security is a local non-profit that helps breast cancer patients with living costs while going through treatment until they recover. Since it’s beginnings, Sense of Security has served more than 960 patients and distributed $1.5 million.
