On Wednesday, April 24, 2013, Wind Enterprises will be offering Atlanta business women the networking opportunity of the year through the Possible Woman Conference, in which power, purpose, and passion will be the central focus. Taking place at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis over the course of one day, three incredible keynote speakers with very different backgrounds will be sharing insight into their successes and challenges as women in leadership roles. In it’s seventeenth year, the Possible Woman Leadership conference will be sure to attract corporate and professional women from all walks of life, giving attendees a chance to network and connect with women executives from other corporations and businesses. Aside from offering women a chance to network with other business-minded women, a portion of all proceeds from the conference will benefit the Possible Woman Foundation International.
Speakers will include dance star and author Judith Jamison, marketer/author Farnaz Wallace, and educator/innovator Kim Bearden. Miss A had a chance to speak with the opening keynote speaker, Farnaz Wallace, who expressed her excitement in attending a participating in this year’s Possible Woman Leadership Conference. Giving a sneak speak into what she will be sharing at the conference, Ms. Wallace discussed the “New World Marketplace”, which is a term she coined to better describe rapid culture shifts we are seeing including the shifting roles of women, values of youth culture, and multicultural influence in society. She also shared a little on the blending of soft powers and hard powers, calling the blend “smart powers”, which is a fascinating concept for women to consider. Farnaz will discuss these concepts in greater detail at the conference and also discusses them in her book New World Marketplace.
The 2013 Possible Woman Conference will be an excellent opportunity for women in leadership roles as well as for the women leaders of tomorrow. Perhaps one of the best perks of this conference is that the proceeds will benefit the Possible Woman Foundation International, which was founded by Linda Wind in 2001. The foundation uses funds raised to award academic scholarships to women who are pursuing non-traditional roles or occupations, connecting them with women trailblazers in today’s challenging industries.
