On Saturday, April 20, teens and tweens will join together for Search For The Cure, an annual scavenger hunt which promotes the importance of breast health education. Now in its second year, the scavenger hunt, hosted by Teens For The Cure, will take place aboard the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum Complex. As a special treat, Miss Teen USA Logan West will join guests to support the cause.
Teens for the Cure is a group of young and committed men and women devoted to the fight against breast cancer. These busy teens organize benefits, such as Search for the Cure, to educate local youth about breast cancer while also raising funds for Komen Greater NYC. The proceeds from the event will go towards providing increased funding for breast health education, screening and treatment programs.
Participants can register for Search For the Cure as part of a team (team membership is limited to six individuals per team) or as individuals who will be assigned to teams. The event registration fee is $25 per person, but individuals who raise $100 or more will receive free registration.
Prizes will be given to the winning scavenger hunt teams and the highest fundraisers. The winning teams and top fundraisers will receive prizes courtesy of Butter Lane Cupcakes, Hearts, Modell’s Sporting Goods, Magnolia Bakery, National Basketball Association, New Balance, and more. So what are you waiting for? Jump on board.
