Lindsey Jo Hand realized her love for writing and sharing information at a very young age. Over the years, she has worked as a journalist, a technical writer, and has done some academic writing as well. Lindsey is also a professor of communications for American Military University. During her spare time, she teaches guitar and piano lessons to children, which is one of her greatest joys. She also enjoys volunteering with Hippo Associates or the Southeastern Greyhound Association, making music, exercising, painting, and doing anything outdoors. She also loves spending time with her family, friends, and her dog and two cats.

Grape Girls Present Inside The Cellar Wine Seminar Series In Atlanta

Inspired by their popular seminars at the Buckhead Wine Festival, the Grape Girls of Grape Crush Productions are providing Atlantans with a unique experience through the Inside the Cellar wine education seminars. These seminars are for wine novices and enthusiasts alike providing all who attend with a better appreciation and greater enjoyment of wine.

While the first in the series, Aromas and Flavors, has passed, two more are up for grabs April 3 and June 12 at the East Andrews Entertainment District. The first class was just a taste of what is to come. Beginning with a sparkling wine reception at 6:30 pm, each class allows for attendees to mingle and get to know each other then experience the art of wine tasting with favorite wine educators and sommeliers who take guests on an worldwide tour of delicious wines. For Aromas and Flavors, attendees were asked to look for hints of certain flavors and aromas using catalysts to spark the senses such as a sprig of rosemary or a bite of dark chocolate. The seminars coming up will go beyond aromas and flavors and cover Tannins and Oak on April 3 and Body and Acidity on June 12.

“We’re eager to provide this new way to “work out” for wine lovers – and it should be a resolution that’s much more fun to keep,” notes Kyla Cox, founder and president of Grape Crush Productions and the Grape Girls.  “Our guests will discover how to discern the different elements that make up the flavors of wines and be introduced to delicious new varietals from some of the region’s leading wine experts.” From social events and fundraisers, to festivals and corporate events, the Grape Girls provide guests with a customized wine tasting experience featuring unique wines from vineyards around the world.

Tickets are available for $30 per class if purchased in advance online; a limited number of tickets may be available for $40 at the door.
