Meera Rajagopalan is the Austin Editor for Miss A. A proud Longhorn, Meera earned her journalism degree from UT. Some of her hobbies include event planning, writing and baking. She loves trying new recipes and experimenting with food. Her latest creation was Pistachio Fudge. A tech nerd at heart, Meera loves cool iPhone apps and geeking out with friends about social media trends. Aside from the tech stuff, Meera also enjoys discovering new fonts. There’s something about finding the perfect font to help enhance titles. Besides her hobbies, Meera loves free stuff. So far besides tons of samples, she’s won concert tickets, movie passes (compliments of Do512) and a cooking class.

2013 Radio Day Stage Showcase (Day Three)

Presented by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), the Radio Day Stage is the place for badge and wristband holders to relax and listen to artists they may have missed during the concert-hopping nights. ASCAP is the only U.S. performing arts organization created and controlled by composers, songwriters, and music publishers.

Auditorium Shores Stage

Auditorium Shores is back with its free concerts on Lady Bird Lake. Some of the artists performing during the two days are Divine Fits, The Flaming Lips, Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblers, and James Hunter. Also, the Market at Auditorium Shores will be open. It is a fashion vendor fair featuring items from Cavortress, Shira Melody Jewelry, and the South Austin Gallery, just to name a few.

KGSR Live Music Showcase (Day Four)

Though this is an early showcase, there are some big names waking up early to play just for you. At the wonderful W Hotel’s ACL Live Moody Theatre. These live music showcases are a great way to discover new artists. Last year, The Lumnieers and  Ed Sheeran were among the artists who performed.  Be sure to show up early, because entry is not guaranteed.

Eric Clapton With The Wallflowers

Rock ‘n roll legend Eric Clapton will headline this concert on Sunday, with special guest the Wallflowers. Clapton has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times, won multiple Grammy’s, and he was on Rolling Stone’s list of 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” last year. This is his third performance at the Erwin Center.
