This Friday, March 15, kicks off a nearly two-week long series for electronic music events and festivals unofficially called “Miami Music Week,” with the grand daddy of them all being Ultra Music Festival. Celebrating its 15th year, the festival is now taking over downtown Miami for two weekends in a row filling Bayside park with estimated 300,000 music lovers over its six-day span. Popular acts like Swedish House Mafia, Tiësto, Deadmou5, Carl Cox, and Kaskade are scheduled to preform amongst many, many others.

During this annual fundraiser for ArtCenter gallery on Lincoln Road, guests can support the South Florida art scene while entering raffles for one-of-a-kind pieces for only $20 a ticket. Along with the 41 pieces of art up for raffle, guests of the event can enjoy performance art by CircX, Karelle Levy, Nu Flamenco, music by MTV/Tr3s’ DJ Mauricio Parra, and a digital scavenger hunt. Take a break from your St. Patrick’s Day festivities and head over to the newly opened and highly anticipated, Swine Southern Table and Bar. The “sister” restaurant to the popular Yardbird Southern Restaurant and Bar on Miami Beach, Swine offers up its distinct approach to authentic Southern cuisine, this time with a menu that’s porcine focused. Guests can dine on dishes such as “BBQ Bone Marrow,” with Cox Farm Alabama marrow, yam jam and grilled country bread; “Brunswick Stew,” with alligator sausage, smoked rabbit, butter beans, pickled okra and preserved lemon and “Heritage Pork n’ Beans,” a 12-hour-smoked pork shoulder with stewed beans, tomato-peanut relish and Paradise Farms honey glaze. To complement the menu, Swine boasts an extensive bourbon collection featuring rare, limited editions and house infusions, in addition to an inventive, culinary-driven cocktail menu created by bar manager Robert Ferrara.
