Miss A Columnist

Ian Moore was born in Washington, DC, and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. He is currently a senior at the College of Charleston with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in Business Administration. When not at the beach, if at all possible, he is usually writing, and when he is not writing he is continually amazed by the history, sights, and sounds of Charleston. As a Redskins fan, he thoroughly enjoyed the triumphs, dedication, and grit of Robert Griffin III and was saddened by his injury this past season. Ian has lived in Charleston for five years now, and hopes to continue to reside here for many more to come.

Jersey Mike’s Month Of Giving In Charleston Area To Benefit Windwood Family Services

For three years now, Jersey Mike’s Subs and Windwood Family Services have had one particular goal—pick a single month out of the year and use it to help raise funds for local charities, and so, on Wednesday, March 27th, 2013, Jersey Mike’s Subs and Windwood Family Services invite all to join them in a “Day of Giving.” This Day of Giving is the culmination of their month-long fundraiser that is helping to raise awareness and monetary assets for local hospitals, charities, youth organizations, and food banks. Due to the importance of this day, all sales made on the 27th will go directly toward helping Windwood Family Services’ efforts, and given that last year’s Month of Giving produced over $858,000 in donations for seventy-five different charities nationwide, this is certainly reason to come on down, buy a sub and soda, and relax. I can see no reason not to participate, given that Jersey Mike’s Subs do use some of the finest cold cuts in the business.
