Grilled cheese lovers rejoice!  Miami has a gooey new haunt for the warm crusty comfort food called the Daily Melt. The restaurant, by James Beard Award Winning chef Allen Susser, will be serving an affordable selection of tasty grilled cheese sandwiches, soups, and salads daily. The sandwiches are made on on breads custom made for the restaurant showcasing cheeses hand picked by Susser. Choices run the gamut from everything from the classic “Original” with melted American cheese, to more unique varieties such as “Granny Smith” with sliced green apple, Virginia ham and cheddar, and the “Garden Melt”: portobello mushroom, smoked gouda, roma tomatoes, baby spinach, and basil pesto

Best of all, on Friday, March 8, the Daily Melt will host a Tweet-Up to celebrate its opening at the restaurant from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. wherein the first 300 guests will receive complimentary sandwiches and sodas.

Saturday, March 9

2013 Hearts & Stars Gala

On Saturday, March 9, be transported to Monte Carlo at the 2013 Hearts & Stars Gala benefitting The Little Lighthouse Foundation. Taking place at the newly renovated Terra Veritatis Estate of Bill Dean, the event will feature gambling and entertainment in the “Casino de Monte Carlo,” a premium open bar provided by Ketel One VodkaDon Julio TequilaRon Zacapa RumJohnny WalkerDos Equis, and Tita Italia Imports along with bites provided by Rosa Mexicano, Le Boudoir, and Lyon + Lyon Catering. Later in the evening the event will turn into an outdoor night club under the stars with several luxury yachts hosting VIPs and guests enjoying music by renowned DJ Rony Seikaly.

Sunday, March 10

Haring Miami

Sunday will be your last day to check out this first of its kind exhibit celebrating world renowned graffiti artist Keith Haring at Haring Miami. The exhibit will feature one of the largest collection of Haring works ever assembled, displayed on three floors in Midtown Miami’s Moore Building. After taking in the art work, guests can enjoy bites by an exclusive pop-up restaurant by the award winning chef Michelle Bernstein and cocktails by Bombay Saphire.
