Fair Food has been dedicated to promoting the importance of a humane, sustainable agriculture system for the Greater Philadelphia region since 2001. It is their mission to bring local food to the marketplace while supporting family farms, connecting consumers, educating the public and celebrating the joys of locally grown food.
Join Fair Food for the 9th year of The Brewer’s Plate Sunday, March 10th, 2013, a celebration of the Philadelphia region’s craft breweries, restaurants, farmers, and artisanal producers–all independently owned and located within 150 miles of the city! This one-of-a-kind tasting event will offer something to stimulate each and every pallet with delicious local gourmet food and craft-beer pairings.
Come enjoy The Speakeasy. As a general admission ticket holder you will sample spirits, savory snacks and sweets provided by Bent Spoon, DiBruno Bros., Good Spoon Seasonal Foods, John & Kira’s, and Lancaster Farm Fresh, just to name a few. Special brews will be served from Victory Brewing Company as well as Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, Nodding Head Brewery, Philadelphia Brewing, Triumph Brewing and many more.
Want to submerge your senses in all the Brewer’s Plate has to offer? Enter the event 30 minutes early with your VIP pass and enjoy Small Wonders–the BIG Taste of Small Scale. As a VIP your taste buds will explore small-batch brews, homespun gourmet foods and artisan cheeses. All of which are provided by independent farmers responsible for creating the culinary landscape of the evening. Be sure and stick around for tutored tastings as well with restaurateur Aimee Olexy, of Talula’s Table and Talula’s Garden.
This event is the premier annual fund raiser for Fair Food Philly. Your participation supports this local nonprofits dedication to bringing locally grown food to the marketplace and promoting a humane, sustainable agriculture system for the Philadelphia region.
