Chianne Hewer Chianne Hewer is a young professional with a passion for travel, adventures, staying active, writing, business and public policy. Born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa, she moved with her family to Phoenix, Arizona in 1997 where she grew up in the beautiful dry-heat desert. Chianne earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science, along with a Minor in Business, and a Certificate of International Studies from Arizona State University. About a year after graduation Chianne spent three spectacular years living, working and exploring city life in San Francisco, California. Now ‘back home’ in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona, she is the Government Affairs and Communications Manager for the Arizona Restaurant Association and is responsible for the lobbying and public affairs interests of the restaurant industry in the state.

In her free time, Chianne can be found reading, writing, traveling, wine tasting, scuba diving, sky diving, spending time with family and friends, running, volunteering with her church, and is the author of the blog; Just, Love Life.

Celebrating Change Annual Benefit For International Museum Of Women In San Francisco

The International Museum of Women (IMOW) is a unique San Francisco-based nonprofit created to celebrate and inspire creativity and awareness on women’s global issues through an online art museum. The innovative and forward thinking qualities of IMOW give voice to women across the globe, with a focus on cultural change and improvements in human rights and gender equality. The online museum is helping to advance the lives of women by telling stories, showcasing artwork, and providing a platform of expression to enable women from all over the world to raise awareness on vital global issues for women and inspires creativity within younger female generations.

By celebrating, showcasing and expanding the creative ability for women with different bac kgrounds and facing different issues, we can empower positive change and cultural appreciation to make this world a better place for all. The International Museum of Women has fostered the power of raising awareness through creative expression, giving a voice to women around the world who typically stay silent.

In celebration of this truly inspiring organization and the women they represent, IMOW is hosting their 2013 Annual Benefit, on March 6th in San Francisco. The benefit, Celebrating Change, begins with an evening cocktail reception, dinner and entertainment, followed by a live art exhibit. The Art Live Lounge includes music, dancing, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and dessert, and features art displays from the inspiring international women and up-and-coming philanthropists. All ticket proceeds benefit IMOW’s exhibitions that strive to advance the lives of women around the world through creative art and global action.

The 2013 Celebrating Change Annual Benefit celebrates IMOW’s sixteenth anniversary and features the second annual Innovator in Technology Award, honoring Padmasree Warrior, CTSO of Cisco Systems. The Art Live Lounge, hosted by the Vanguard Circle, commences immediately following the benefit. Bring your daughters, mothers, sisters and nieces and even brothers, husbands and sons – to join the fight in global women’s issue awareness and join IMOW for this evening of entertainment, music and art.
