Kicking off the 2013 Food Network South Beach Wine and Food festival in style on Thursday, February 21, was Moet Hennessy’s The Q hosted by Paula Deen and Sons and presented by Omaha Steaks sponsored by MIAMI Magazine.
More than 35 of the best chefs from across the United States prepared their signature BBQ and BBQ-inspired dishes – using more than 570 pounds of pork belly, 8,000 pieces of chicken, and 475 pounds of lamb ribs in the process. To wash all that BBQ goodness down, plenty of cocktail creations were available from the Moet Hennessy USA portfolio.
No food went to waste, however, will any left over food being donated to Feeding South Florida for the local area food banks.
When the clock hit 10 p.m. the official Q After Dark after party got underway, hosted by celebrity chef and female fan-favorite, Curtis Stone. Guests enjoyed live performances by Cirque Du Mansion, hand pressed tacos, and plenty of cocktails while they danced the night away.
